FlySafair is one of the cheapest low cost airlines in South Africa, based in Johannesburg, FlySafair has a hub in both Cape Town International Airport and OR Tambo International Airport in Johannesburg. The airline is fairly new, founded in 2013 by Elmar Conradie, FlySafair is going strong and has a fleet size of 9 already.

Passengers that are flying with FlySafair can check in from 2 hours before their flight departure. The check in at the airline counter closes 40 minutes before departure. Passengers are advised to check in online for a much easier process to get to their destinations.

- Children & infants have to travel with their birth certificate.

FlySafair is considered the only "true" low cost carrier and the reason for why they can offer such cheap flights is, they exclude baggage from their ticket prices, allowing travelers without baggage to travel for extremely cheap prices.
Hand luggage is included in the ticket prices (up to 7kg).
Passengers can purchase space for baggage for R150 (up to 20kg).
Due to FlySafair being a low cost airline, they currently only offer Economy class, however, passengers can request a seat with extra leg room for an additional R100 per person, per flight.
